Mentor Memphis Grizzlies is celebrating National Mentoring Month by recognizing and honoring individuals, businesses and groups that have exemplified a commitment to youth mentoring. Awards will be given to the Mentee of the Year, Mentor of the Year, Mentoring Practitioner of the Year, Business Partnership of the Year, Mentor Advocate of the Year and MMG Affiliate Organization of the Year.
Within our Organization we received 3 Nominations. Our Percussion Director, Vernon Martin recieved Mentor of the Year Nomination. Our Excuetive Director, Corey Travis received Mentoring Practitioner of the Year Nomanation. Our Organization received MMG Affiliate Organization of the Year Nomanation. These reconightions are an honor and we are grateful.
Award recipients were honored during the National Mentoring Month Awards Ceremony held on Friday, Jan. 20, at 6 p.m. in the Grand Lobby at FedExForum. Our very own Fire Squad Drumline and Diamond Dolls Dance Team closed out the awards show with a bang!
